These Affiliate Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern participation in the BEST Academic Courses Affiliate Programme operated by The PhD Place Ltd. By joining the programme, you agree to comply with these Terms, in addition to our general Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.
For the purposes of these Affiliate Terms and Conditions:
Affiliate Account means the personal user account created on the Website to participate in the Programme and track referrals, commissions, and payments.
Affiliate Link (also “Referral Link”) means the unique tracking URL assigned to an Affiliate to generate commissions from referred sales.
Commission means the percentage of sales payable to an Affiliate for valid purchases made via their Affiliate Link.
Company (referred to as either “the Company”, “We”, “Us” or “Our”) refers to The PhD Place Ltd, 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, England, W1W 5PF.
Programme means the BEST Academic Courses Affiliate Programme operated by the Company.
Referral means a new customer who completes a valid purchase via an Affiliate Link.
Service means the affiliate platform, dashboard, tracking system, and promotional materials provided by the Company.
Website refers to www.thephdplace.com. You (also referred to as “Affiliate”) means the individual or entity registering to participate in the Programme.
1.1 The Programme is open worldwide to individuals aged 18 or older.
1.2 Affiliates must create an Affiliate Account on the Website to access their dashboard and tracking tools.
1.3 Participation may not violate any local, national, or international laws.
2.1 Affiliates earn 30% commission per course sale.
2.2 Commissions are tracked via a 30-day cookie. If a user purchases within 30 days of clicking your Affiliate Link, you are credited.
2.3 Payments are made monthly via PayPal with a minimum payout of £25. Balances below this threshold roll over to the next payment cycle.
2.4 Self-referrals are prohibited. You cannot earn commission on your own purchases.
3.1 Affiliates may use official banners, logos, and swipe copy provided by the Company.
3.2 You are encouraged to create your own original content, provided it is accurate and not misleading.
3.3 Affiliates must always disclose Affiliate Links in compliance with advertising and consumer laws (including FTC and CMA rules).
3.4 Prohibited promotion methods include (but are not limited to):
4.1 All course content, branding, and marketing materials remain the property of the Company.
4.2 Affiliates are granted a limited, non-exclusive licence to use logos and branded materials solely for promotion within this Programme.
4.3 Unauthorized or misleading use of our intellectual property may result in suspension or termination.
5.1 Participation in the Programme is at the sole discretion of the Company. We may approve, decline, suspend, or remove Affiliates at any time.
5.2 We reserve the right to withhold or cancel commissions where these Affiliate Terms have been breached or suspicious activity is detected.
5.3 The Company may amend commission rates, payment terms, or Programme rules with notice. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of any updated Affiliate Terms.
Affiliates are independent contractors. Nothing in these Affiliate Terms creates an employment, partnership, or agency relationship between you and the Company.
7.1 Affiliates are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with tax laws in their jurisdiction.
7.2 Affiliates agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from their promotional activities.
7.3 The Company is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in the Programme. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the total commission earned but not yet paid at the time of any claim.
8.1 Affiliates may withdraw from the Programme at any time by contacting us.
8.2 The Company reserves the right to suspend or terminate Affiliate Accounts that breach these Terms, with or without notice.
These Affiliate Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10.1 The Company collects personal data such as your name, email address, and PayPal details solely for the purpose of administering the Programme.
10.2 Data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and will not be shared with third parties except as required for Programme administration or legal compliance.
11.1 The Company reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Programme at any time, for any reason, without liability.
11.2 In the event of termination, commissions already earned but unpaid will be honoured if valid under these Terms.
12.1 The Company shall not be liable for any delay or failure in performance caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, strikes, outages, or technical failures.
13.1 If any provision of these Affiliate Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
14.1 Failure by the Company to enforce any right or provision of these Affiliate Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
15.1 These Affiliate Terms, together with our general Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Company regarding participation in the Programme.
