Nath

Nath is the founder of The PhD Place and active doctoral researcher. He started The PhD Place with the mission of Tackling Student Isolation after joining his PhD program, and feeling first-hand the confusion and isolation of academic life.

Charlotte

Charlotte is thrilled to be Editor-in-Chief of the amazing articles published to PhD Stories that foster connection in the doctoral community. She is also a PhD student at Warwick Law School, funded by the Midlands Graduate School. Her research explores women’s experiences in Specialist Domestic Violence Courts and how the courts understand the coercive control offence.

Patrick

Patrick is the administrator here at The PhD Place. His role includes making changes to the website, managing emails, and supporting the running of our projects. Patrick is an undergraduate student.

The editors

Kristy

Kristy is a doctoral candidate in the Faculty of Education at York University in Toronto, Canada. Her dissertation research explores how high school drama teachers navigate matters of intimacy in classrooms and rehearsal spaces. Other research interests include literacies, mis- and disinformation, fanfiction, theatre and performance, bisexuality, and consent. She's enthusiastic about editing and thrilled to join the team here at The PhD Place!

Christian

Christian is a PhD student in the Millard Lab group at the University of Leicester. He is currently attempting to genetically engineer bacteriophages to overcome bacterial resistance to phages.

Gilian

Gilian is a PhD student within the School of Sociology and Social Policy at the University of Nottingham. His research focuses on communication in remote primary health care consultations and he works within the field of Conversation Analysis. He holds a BA in Communication and Information Studies, an MA in Linguistics from the University of Groningen and an MA in Social Science Research from the University of Nottingham.
